MSRP is a reference figure — live price is on the retailer's site.
The Echelon Connect EX-5 is a connected indoor cycle positioned as a value-conscious alternative to the studio-cycle establishment, pairing solid hardware with Echelon's live and on-demand class platform. Rather than building in an expensive screen, the EX-5 uses a rotating bracket that holds your own tablet or phone, which rotates so you can turn to follow off-bike floor classes, keeping the hardware cost down. Resistance is magnetic with 32 levels adjusted by a lever, quiet and smooth across the range, and instructors call out target levels during rides. The Echelon Fit app streams cycling, scenic and strength content and tracks output and leaderboards, but the experience is built around a paid membership, so the subscription is an ongoing cost separate from the bike. The seat and handlebars adjust four ways, the pedals offer toe cages on one side and clip compatibility on the other, and the frame is reasonably compact and stable. It includes transport wheels but does not fold. Without a built-in display the bike depends on supplying your own device, and the value leans heavily on committing to the membership, but for riders who want a guided studio-style program at a lower hardware price, the EX-5 is a credible connected option.
