Overview

The Concept2 BikeErg takes the air-resistance flywheel and trusted PM5 monitor from the company's celebrated rowers and reworks them into a stationary bike with a road-cycling feel. Unlike fan bikes, the BikeErg drives the legs only and uses a smooth, spinning flywheel inside a cage, with a damper lever that adjusts airflow to change the feel of each pedal stroke without artificially capping output. Power scales with effort, so it suits everything from steady aerobic base work to all-out sprint intervals, and the freewheel lets you coast like a real bicycle, which most spin-style indoor cycles cannot do. The PM5 console is the same accurate, self-powered computer found on the RowErg, displaying watts, pace, calories, distance and stroke rate, and connecting over Bluetooth and ANT+ to apps and heart-rate straps for structured training and online racing. The seat and handlebars adjust to fit a wide range of riders, and the frame is lighter and more compact than most air bikes, rolling easily on transport wheels. It is loud due to the rushing air and does not fold, but for cyclists who want gym-grade data and honest resistance in a familiar riding position, the BikeErg is a standout.
