Overview

The Power Bar 2.0 is Bells of Steel's value entry in the powerlifting category, built to give budget-minded lifters a proper stiff bar for the big three without a premium price tag. The 29mm shaft is rigid and stays true under heavy squats and deadlifts, providing the predictable, planted feel that powerlifters rely on when grinding through near-maximal attempts. Knurling is aggressive with a center knurl, delivering a confident bite on pulls and presses and helping the bar stay anchored to the back during squats. Single power knurl marks keep grip placement consistent with competition standards. The bar uses a zinc finish on both shaft and sleeves, which offers reasonable corrosion resistance and a subdued look; zinc is not as durable as stainless and can show wear at contact points over time, but it holds up acceptably for home use and is part of how the bar hits its price. Bushing sleeves are correctly chosen for a power bar, where spin is irrelevant. The tensile rating is respectable and covers the loads of beginner and intermediate powerlifters with margin. It will not rival a stainless competition bar in knurl precision or longevity, but at right around 200 dollars the Power Bar 2.0 is an easy recommendation for anyone building a powerlifting-focused gym on a budget.
